Global Layover was founded by a former Emirates Cabin Crew member with nine years of international flying experience, together with his father, and their Egyptian family, united by a shared passion for hospitality, cultural exchange, and creating meaningful travel experiences.
How we Started ?
In 2017, they launched Cairo Layover, helping airline crew from around the world transform their Cairo layovers into unforgettable experiences. Through exceptional service and genuine hospitality, Cairo Layover grew into one of Egypt's highest-rated travel companies, earning thousands of happy guests and becoming one of the country's top-ranked experiences on TripAdvisor.
As the community grew, so did the vision.
What began in Cairo evolved into Global Layover—an international travel brand built on the belief that every layover, stopover, or short stay has the potential to become an unforgettable experience. The launch of Toronto Layover marked the first step in that journey, with more destinations planned for the future.
